The BBC confuses me. If the organization is an arm of the government, doesn't the government have control over it?
For example, a reporter lies about what was in a dossier. Fire that reported, his boss, etc. If the behavior continues, fire everyone until the paper is pro-government.
Sure, this sounds a little communist, but isn't that what a paper funded by the government is in the first place? It seems to me that there is a charade of independence despite government control there, like there is of federalism despite federal control here.
