Censorship?

I was talking to a girl last night about music and she said something about hwo teh government suppressed the release of Green Day and Eminem's albums until after the election. This didn't sound right, but I didn't have facts to disprove it. Instead, I asked why they didn't also suppress Farenheit 9/11, which was in theaters, on DVD, and even on TV before the election. "No one listens to a fat guy."

Today I did some research. American Idiot came out 9/21, well over a month before the election. While Encore didn't come out until 11/16, the only political song, "Mosh," came out eight days before the election, and the video was played on MTV several times.

I would put more credibility into assertions of censorship if at least the underlying facts were correct.
